This could have been so much better if the team were more organised and consistent. nnPros- great location to explore, quiet and clean rooms, wide selection of yoga classes with a great teacher, good views, local supermarket and restaurants. nnCons- poor selection of food, communication is poor, staff uninterested, slow service, poor signage, regularly run out of specific drinks, breakfast team very slow to reset tables and replenishment of buffet was hit and miss. nnI feel really mixed on this hotel. Is such a great spot, our room was well appointed and well looked after with excellent housekeeping service, beautiful yoga studio and I really enjoyed the classes I attended. nnOn the flip side the service was generally terrible; breakfast tables not cleaned and reset, buffet sometimes replenished quickly other times not, I waited 15 mins for soya milk one morning by which time my coffee was cold, the teams cooking fresh pancakes and eggs to order were always brilliant. Eating in the beach bar everything was slow, very limited vegan and veggie choices I would have expected more from a hotel that promotes itself as a yoga and spa retreat. Not a single veggie option at Restaurant 27 so we didnu2019t eat there. Staff serving you whilst checking their mobiles, barman playing table football. No information provided at check in other than breakfast time. They want you to book everything on their app rather than speak to a real person but youu2019d only know that if you find the leaflet about it in the room and even that is inconsistent. Made 2 room service orders. One we received email confirmation the other we didu2019t, both times the order was wrong and we had to send it back. No answer to chat on the app. Nobody upsold any thing. Beach bar team did not provide table service. Some days you got nuts and olives with your drink, other days you didnu2019t. Didnu2019t seem to be any communication between teams or responsibility for specific areas so without control everything became a bit hit and miss. nnDid enjoy watching the evening wandering of the wild boar through the hotel grounds tho!

Relaxing winter sun break in Moroccan paradise

    Valutazione: 5.0 / 5recensioni

We spent a fantastic 6 nights at Paradis Plage and were very well looked after by all the staff, especially Aziz, the chefs and waiters who accommodated my gluten-free requirements, the omelette ladies and the surf guides. nnIt's a beautiful, extremely well maintained hotel, located on a stunning stretch of sandy beach. We loved our long post-breakfast walks and also enjoyed a beach camel and horse ride duringn our stay. My partner went on a couple of guided trips to famous surf spots and is keen to return to explore further. There's a taxi rank outside the hotel, which was very convenient for a visit to Taghazout (100 DHM). We walked along the beach from there to Tamraght for food and a surf and got a taxi back later in the day for 150 DHM. nnThe hotel had plenty of activities to keep us amused such as yoga, bowls and table tennis, which were nice touches and I personally liked all the kittens, puppies, cats and dogs which came to say hello now and again. Plus my massage at the spa was incredible. nnWe ate in the hotel most nights and thought the food in Le 27 was prepared to an extremely high standard and the local wine was also tasty, as were the beachside cocktails. We walked along the beach to a local fish restaurant one evening and had a tasty grilled fish platter, which was extremely good value. nnIf you're travelling in November I'd definitely recommend extra layers for dining outside at breakfast and in the evening. nnIt was such a relaxing break and we'd love to return at some point. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and would definitely choose over a chain hotel, as it has much more local character.

Eat somewhere else in the evenings...

    Valutazione: 3.0 / 5recensioni

As many other reviewers have written, this hotel needs one review for food quality, and another review for everything else. nnI will start with the food, as it is not what you would expect from a 3 star restaurant, let alone a 5 star hotel...it is pretty terrible. Like many others we got food poisoning on day 2 which put us out of action for 2 days. The '27' restaurant is just dreadful - both food quality & service. This was where we got food poisoning from - and another couple were also affected the same night. Everyone we spoke to on half board was avoiding it after one experience.nnThe restaurant by the beach was only slightly better - food was not piping hot, vegetables were cold, meat not fully cooked...we didn't dare try the fish. The waiting staff there were much more attentive and friendly. nnI would recommend you just eat breakfast at the hotel (much better), and then have your evening meal somewhere else. Then you can experience some traditional, quality Moroccan food. The manager was very apologetic and did not charge us for our spa treatment by way of compensation, but losing 2 days of a badly needed week's break was galling. nnLike others, we were not told in advance about the cap on meal prices for evening meals. At the beach restaurant we were presented with the food bill to pay, and so had to explain we were half board. The waiter then told us we could have anything up to 300 MAD. The manager told us the next day it was actually 330 MAD. In the 27 restaurant when we said we were half board, the waiter took the a la carte menu from our hands and gave us a clipboard with the half board fixed menu on. The manager later told us they should have offered both options. So there is a training issue here with waiting staff. nnOnto the second part of the review and other reviewers have described it well. The location is beautiful, nice touches with the beachfront lounging area, evening firepit, perfect temperature swimming pools, beautiful planting, wild boar roaming at night, cats and dogs all friendly (but expect the cats to jump up when you are eating). The hawkers on the beach are a permanent presence - some folks loved it, others got annoyed at being hassled - we thought it added to the atmosphere. There are security guards on the perimeter. Our Junior Suite was fine and the cleaner was just wonderful when we were both spectacularly ill. nnThere was no Tui rep on site which did not help. Getting information on hotel facilities was via the hotel app. Most of the staff understandably were not great at English, so communication was difficult at times if you didn't speak French. nnThere is a free shuttle taxi into Agadir which we used twice. Good to get out and see the local area. There is a lot of development going on around the marina and town, nice beachfront promenade, and the cable car was well worth it.
